Returns and Refund Policy
OVERVIEW At The Boat Pro, we understand that marine projects can be complex. We accept returns for most products within 30 days of purchase, provided they meet the criteria below.
1. RETURN ELIGIBILITY AND CONDITION
To receive a refund, items must be returned in New and Resalable Condition. This means:
Unopened and Unused: The item must not have been installed, mounted, or fueled.
Original Packaging: All original boxes, tags, and internal packing materials must be intact. Do not write on the manufacturer’s box; use a separate shipping container.
No "Grease or Scratches": Parts showing signs of installation or "trial fits" (e.g., scratches on bolt holes, grease marks) will be rejected.
2. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
To ensure the safety and reliability of our inventory, the following are final sale:
Electrical Components: This includes starters, alternators, sensors, and wiring harnesses. Once these leave our facility, we cannot guarantee their internal integrity.
Fuel and Oil Products: Any fluids, paints, or chemicals that have been opened or have a broken seal.
Custom/Special Orders: Parts or materials specifically ordered or fabricated for your vessel’s remodel.
Service Labor: Labor charges for repair and remodeling are non-refundable once the work has been performed.
3. CORE RETURNS
For certain parts (e.g., lower units or alternators), a "Core Charge" is applied. To receive credit for your core:
The core must be the exact same part as the one purchased.
It must be returned in the original manufacturer’s box provided with the new part.
It must be drained of all fluids and free of excessive external damage.
4. RESTOCKING FEES AND SHIPPING
Standard Returns: A restocking fee of up to 15% may be applied to cover inspection and repackaging costs.
Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is a result of an error by The Boat Pro (e.g., you received the wrong part).
Damage Claims: You must report any shipping damages or shortages within 48 hours of delivery.
5. THE RETURN PROCESS

Inspection: All returns are inspected by our technicians. This process usually takes 3-5 business days.
Refund: Once approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method. Please allow for standard banking processing times.
