Founded in 2005, The Boat Pro is aimed to be the
premier marine maintenance company on Lake Sidney
Lanier. As owner and founder of The Boat Pro, Inc.,
Stephen Gardner is excited to bring a new level of
maintenance and repair service to boat owners in the
area.
Stephen Gardner – President/Founder of The Boat Pro,
Inc.
With
over 30 years of experience in the boating industry,
Stephen Gardner takes great pride in his work. Born
in Indiana, Steve followed in the foot steps of his
father, Francis (Sid) Gardner (a 36 year service
retiree) to work at Starcraft Boat Manufacturing in
both Goshen and Topeka, Indiana. Steve was with
Starcraft for 15 years and during that time worked
and supervised in the dash, instrumentation, stern
drive, and optional equipment departments.
With his dislike of the harsh cold Indiana weather,
Steve and his wife, Jeanne, decided to move to the
west coast where his wife’s family resided. Steve
began his career as a marine technician in 1990 at
SeaRay of Las Vegas. Steve quickly became one of
the top mechanics in Las Vegas within 5 years and
grew fond of working on cruisers and motor yachts on
Lake Mead. Steve gained extensive in-board
experience working on ski boats for several years at
San Ramon Boat Center in San Ramon, California where
he also worked on the top Cobalt boat line.
The family moved to the Atlanta area in the summer
of 1997 and Steve started working on Lake Lanier
with JOA Marine. During this time Steve serviced
Carver, Silverton, and Cruisers lines of motor
yachts as the Senior Motor Yacht Technician for JOA.
Steve also spent a great deal of time working on
MasterCraft ski boats and obtained a MasterCraft
Master Mechanic Certification.
Today Steve is dedicated to making The Boat Pro,
the number one customer-satisfaction repair service
for Lake Lanier boaters. With his attention to
detail and his tenacity for quality, Steve is
committed to providing the best level of care and
customer service.
